Bring a mound of high value treats for your dog! We'll use the treats to encourage posing throughout the walk.

Since you might want to get into a few pictures too - Keep it casual and comfortable, but aim for “photo casual” instead of “just rolled out of bed.” 

 Solid colors and simple layers photograph beautifully, and neutral or earthy tones usually look great against the lake and trees (skip loud logos, neon colors, and busy patterns).

For leashes and gear, simple is best. If you can, bring a thin, plain leash (and a low-profile collar) so it disappears in photos more easily. Harnesses are totally fine, but they can be harder to remove, so if your dog needs one, choose the smallest, simplest option you have.

We'll make sure we have a nice forecast and we'll adjust if needed. We'll likely start the adventure later in the afternoon so we have flattering light, Arriving at the cliff side during Golden Hour is ideal.
